First Martin Orchestra Concert

Mark your calendars! Our first concert is on Monday, October 6th at 6:30pm in the Martin High School Auditorium. Concert call times vary for each orchestra and are on the calendar under details.

Concert 2: 5:45pm (uncase in new orch room, go straight to stage)
Concert 1: 6pm (uncase in new orch room, go straight to old orch room)
Philharmonia: 6:30pm (mirror room)
Philharmonic: 6:45pm (choir room)
Symphonic: 7:15pm (new orch room)
Chamber: 7:30pm (mirror room)
Symphony: 7:45pm (choir room)

Uniforms
If your child has not been issued a uniform, please have them talk to a director at the start of class.

World’s Finest Chocolate
Students may participate in selling chocolate by the box starting October 15th. Students may fundraise and earn $20 per box towards the price of the Spring Trip.

Vertical Raise

We will begin our VerticalRaise campaign on Wednesday, October 22nd! We have raised over $30,000 through this type of fundraising and hope to have a successful campaign for our general orchestra needs!  

Spring Trip – We’re going to New Orleans!

The dates for our Spring Trip are March 27th-March 30th. Trip deposit ($200) and contracts are due on Friday, October 17th. Check (made out to Martin Orchestra) or cash can be sent to school. You can also pay online. Please note that students must be academically eligible (per AISD rules) to travel. This means travelers must be passing all classes for the 4th six weeks report card.

The cost of the trip is $950/student.

The Martin Orchestra Booster Club is providing a limited amount of scholarships for our Spring Trip. Scholarship Applications are due on Friday, October 17th.

Interested in being a parent chaperone? Applications are due Friday, October 17th.

Region Orchestra Auditions
Region Orchestra Audition forms are due on Wednesday, September 24th. This is NOT a requirement for orchestra unless you are enrolled in AP orchestra.

Region auditions are on Saturday, October 18th at Seguin High School. Transportation is NOT provided.

Our next Booster Club meeting will be on Tuesday, October 14th at Colter’s BBQ on Little Road at 7pm.
